Job hunting is the worst, especially when you have no experience in the matter. I have heard much advice from any of the people I have met in the hostel as well as the community.
Speaking of the community, the people here are very nice. There is a great bakery with a sweet old lady in it who still seems very active for her age as well as a thrift shop with a woman working reception that I could talk to for hours about everything, and finally the mango vendor down the road is the most awesome of all. He had countless tenacious tattoos and a great sense of humor.
The new staff room that I just moved into is pretty cramped but I kind of expected that from people who have been staying here for so long. The room has a totally different feel from the rest of the rooms that I have been staying in. Many of my new roommates have their stuff strewn about, not to the degree that you would think, it is just hard to find my own space among the rest of what is there.
